Our members help sustain the Jacksonville Historical Society, whose mission is to strengthen citizenship by engaging and educating Jacksonville’s people about their history, through preserving and sharing the evidence of the city’s past, and by advocating the value of historic preservation.
It’s important to remember the value of history is two-fold. Historical knowledge strengthens citizenship, and historic preservation strengthens economic growth.
