Speaker Series: Introducing FSCJ's History of Jacksonville Course

What do you know about the Great Fire of 1901? Did you know Jacksonville was once the insurance capital of the South? How about film-making in Jacksonville before there was a Hollywood? Jacksonville has often seemed less concerned with its history than any of Florida’s other major cities, even though it is the oldest among them. Explaining that is challenging, but this new history course takes it on. After all, this is by far Florida’s largest and most interesting city.
