"Chosen by Jane," proclaimed buttons proudly worn by the teachers that Jane Condon brought with her to build LaVilla School of the Arts, the crowning achievement in her long career as an educator. Through self-determination and willingness to take on challenges, Jane Condon has influenced thousands of students and brought joy to hundreds of friends and colleagues.

Please note that the Jumbo Shrimp also have an event at the ballpark next door. Parking in the grass lot along the ballpark is free to JHS guests, but please be aware that errant baseballs may be hit into that lot. Also, masks are encouraged for those who are not vaccinated. All programs are free to current members of the Jacksonville Historical Society, checked at the door.
