Haul out the holly,
Put up the tree before our spirits fall again.
Fill up the stocking,
We may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.
For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute. We need a little Christmas now!
Those words have never rung truer than now -- 2020: The Year of the Pandemic. Won't you join us, even virtually, to lighten your spirits and brighten your days with the 18th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza?
This year's event will include an online silent auction, online contests to vote for your favorite display and tree, as well as a holiday gift shop at the event (some items will also be available at our online bookstore) and a bake shop. The event will be closed on Mondays and on Dec. 24-25. Last appointment times are one hour prior to closing.
Two quilts will be raffled (purchase tickets on this page): a queen-size quilt in blue, burgundy, white and floral print (left) and an adorable gingerbread quilt approximately 54x60 (right).
Reservations and masks required; temperatures will be taken at the door, and the exhibit is designed for one-way traffic. Although we are planning for a safe event at Old St. Andrew's Church, please be aware that life safety circumstances, such as an increase in COVID-19 cases, may require us to cancel the exhibit on site. Your nonrefundable ticket is considered a donation, so please enjoy the event virtually at jaxhistory.org!
